Rode Podcaster ReviewThanks for checking out our full Rode Podcaster microphone review.

Personally, here at TheMicCheck.com, we’re HUGE fans of RODE microphones. They are super quality mics that are extremely affordable. We’ve used the microphones in the studio and they sound great, with a nice flat and natural sound. Sometimes they can be a bit bass heavy, but that’s easily taken care of in post-production.

This is another microphone that has USB connectivity making it an easy use choice for most podcasters. Most times as a podcaster, you don’t want to have to worry about technical connections. You just want to be able to record your show and get it online! This microphone will definitely help you do that.

Coming in at $229 for the standalone microphone and $349 for the whole kit (which includes shock mount and boom stand), it’s a bit pricier than some other entry-level microphones, but it’s quality is outstanding. Not to mention, it features an internal pop-screen which will help clear up the recording without the need of additional equipment.

As if that wasn’t enough, the Rode Podcaster is not only fully compatible with computers, it can be used as an iPad/iPhone microphone as well!

Are you starting to see why we love Rode microphones so much? The only thing about this microphone is, again, the frequency response not covering the entire spectrum (20hz – 20,000 hz) and coming in a little short compared to something like the Audio Technica ATR2100.

Here’s a quick rundown of some features/specs:

  • Dynamic USB Microphone
  • 18-bit resolution
  • 8-48khz sampling rate
  • 40hz-14,000hz frequency response.
  • 10 year warranty available (free with signup)

Rode is no stranger to quality microphones and they’ve made a whole bunch of great options for various applications. If you’ve got the budget and want something that will last you for years, the Rode Podcaster is probably a great choice.
